Upcoming Leadership Scholarships

Here is an opportunity to recognize students that demonstrate outstanding leadership!

Alberta Scholarships offers a couple of great opportunities to award students demonstrating leadership: Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship and Laurence Decore Awards for Student Leadership. If you are aware of students that are deserving of either scholarship, please forward them an application. 

Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship                                                                        

Recognizes post-secondary students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, especially in the area of disability, and/or initiative to improve the conditions and lives of all people, while attending post-secondary studies in Alberta.

Amount: $2,000                                                                                                                                                

Number:  6 recipients at Mount Royal

Deadline: February 15, 2012

More applications are available at the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office (E102) . Completed applications should be submitted to the Student Awards Office.

Laurence Decore Awards for Student Leadership

Recognizes post-secondary students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and leadership to fellow students and to their community, specifically in: student government or student societies, clubs or organizations, or involved in student organizations at the provincial and national level or in non-profit community organizations.

Amount: $500

Number: 6 recipients at Mount Royal

Deadline: February 15, 2012

More applications are available at the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office (E102). Completed applications should be submitted to the Student Awards Office. The student may require that you sign a nomination section on the application (page 4).
